Flare 2019
Flare is simply not just a cultural extravaganza to PDEU but a series of days that students takes back with them for the rest of their life. 2019 sealed 10 years of Flare's existence and hence to celebrate its 10th Anniversary with theme “Dashak” – Decoding the Decade.
Flare was observed four days – 11th, 12th, 13th & 14th April, 2019. There were various events in genre of Dance, Music, Art, Literature, Theatre, Culture, Politics, Fashion or Gaming. The three main events for Flare were, Amethyst – The Model Hunt, Ablaze – The Intra College Dance Competition and Pro night with the evergreen singer KK.
Each day was packed with a tight schedule of fun and entertaining events that offered students a wide variety to participate in. This events provided students a wide base of knowledge and experience from which they could hone a wide array of skills. Flare provided students an opportunity to explore and experiment different arenas.
Thus, like a world cruise that takes its passengers through innumerable courses of the ocean, Flare was a unique fest that traversed to a galaxy of spheres with intriguing and stimulating events that recognizes the passive talents of our students and helped them become better well rounded individuals.
Flare 2018
It’s always said that a person is connected to his roots forever and so this time with the celebration of socio-cultural fest of PDEU it was decided to go on a beautiful journey of India. With ending of another academic year, it begins a new journey and to give that journey a great start we celebrate FLARE with loads of energy and enthusiasm. All the three days of the fest are meant to be amusing and entertaining for the students that they take plenty of memories with them.
FLARE involved events from diverse fields which a person might be interested. It had events ranged from Music, Dance, Art, Theatre, Literature, Culinary, Gaming, Fashion and many more. The campus was embellished keeping in mind our culture, ethnicity and diversity.
The three nights of the event were rejoicing which included Amethyst - The Model Hunt which gives you an opportunity to own the ramp and showcase your walk and fashion skills amongst folks. Ablaze is National level group dance competition which revolutionizes the dance circuit and was remembered as the competition where the calibre of dance and creativity were astronomically high. FLARE also witnessed Battle of bands, At-Mosh-Sphere where the trope fought for the title. Following it, there was show lined up which was by When Chai Met Toast and after watching it audience had their splendid time surely. Ahead the other day was Pro-Nite with Arjun Kanungo, who made the spectator sway their feet and enjoy incredibly. Indeed all the days filled in memories for thousands of students with a touch of ethnicity and culture.
Flare 2017
Flare is considered to be the biggest of the fest witnessed in the University. It involved events from diverse fields in which a person might be interested. It had events ranged from Music, Dance, Art, Theatre, Literature, Culinary, Gaming, Fashion and many more. This time the theme had fascinated every person on campus whether it is faculties, students or staff members.
It’s said “Memories are timeless treasures of heart.” And the best memory we had till now is surely of our childhood days. So this time with the celebration of socio-cultural fest of PDEU, it was decided to commemorate our childhood. We celebrated end of the academic year with loads of energy and enthusiasm. All the four days of FLARE 13th to 16th April, 2017 were enough for students to cherish them throughout their lives. Also the campus was embellished keeping in mind all the specific things done in our childhood days, and it was kind of recalling all the moments lived.
FLARE 2016
Flare is the annual socio-cultural Fest of PDEU, held during 15th April to 17th April 2016. Flare 2016 was proved to be another stepping stone for student activity in PDEU with a participation of more than 1000 students all over Gujarat. The three-day Festival attracted more than 3000 people on campus proving the theme of ‘Carnival’. The Fest is a mark of the end of an academic year is an explosion of madness, the icebreaker for talent holders, a weekend of vitality.
Flare 2016 got a head start by the music launch of Flare theme song by Offbeat (The Music Club). To continue the vibes of the Fest PDEU had Pre- Flare events like performance by Dr. N. Rajam under SPIC MACAY PDEU Chapter, Antakshari, Street Jamming and a lot more.
The Fest ’s exceptional features were informal events like Tasveer-E-Shayari, Zorbing, Tic Tac Toe, Shooting, Gully Cricket, Bull Riding, Balls into Glasses etc. The Flare Radio by official Music club – Off beat was another unique feature of Flare 2016.
