This University has been established by the Gujarat State Act No.14 of 2007 published on 4th April, 2007 and is empowered to award the degrees as specified u/s 22 of UGC Act 1956.This University is further enlisted by the UGC u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.
APPROVAL OF THE TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMMES BY AICTE
This is also to notify that in pursuance to the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Bharathidasan University & Another v/s AICTE & Others, a University does not require prior approval of the National Statutory Councils like All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi for its programmes which are under the purview of AICTE, New Delhi. A University, though not required to take prior approval of AICTE, has obligation or duty to conform to the standards and norms laid down by the AICTE for the concerned programmes.
Energy and energy infrastructure are critical to any economy for the development and sustainability. India has recognised this fact and has embarked upon a comprehensive strategy to address the concerns of energy security of India. The need for a resource center was anticipated to keep pace with the fast developing and competitive energy industry, to plan for the future and to continuously build requisite intellectual capital and human resource skills.
