Merit Scholarships (4+4) |
(a) |
The School of Petroleum Technology awards the
degree of Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Petroleum
Engineering to those who have successfully completed
the stipulated Graduate or Postgraduate programme. |
(b) |
In the order of merit first four students admitted,
each from ‘Gujarat Category’ and ‘Outside
Gujarat Category’ will be eligible for these
scholarships. |
(c) |
These scholars are not required to pay Tuition
Fee at the time of accepting admission; however,
they shall pay Registration Fee, Deposits and Other
Charges as prescribed. |
(d) |
These scholarships will be continued for the entire
B.Tech. Programme of 4 years (8 Semesters) subject
to consistent good academic performance at each
semester examination, and exemplary discipline and
conduct including punctuality. |

Special Scholarships(3+3) |
(a) |
The value of each scholarship is the Tuition Fee
prescribed from time to time. |
(b) |
In the order of merit first three Girls students
admitted, each from ‘Gujarat Category’
and ‘Outside Gujarat Category’, will
be eligible for these scholarships. |
(c) |
These scholars are not required to pay Tuition
Fee at the time of accepting admission; however,
they shall pay Registration Fee, Deposits and Other
Charges as prescribed. |
(d) |
These scholarships will be continued for the entire
B.Tech. Programme of 4 years (8 Semesters) subject
to consistent good academic performance at each
semester examination, and exemplary discipline and
conduct including punctuality. |

Merit-Cum- Means Scholarships (4+4) |
(a) |
The value of each scholarship is the Tuition Fee
prescribed from time to time. |
(b) |
Students seeking such scholarships shall , at
the time of accepting admission , apply for this
In the Prescribed Form wherein authentic information
about the family income and other relevant information
shall be furnished. |
(c) |
A list of applicants shall be arranged in the
ascending order of Family Income/Dependents in the
Family. Scholarship Committee, keeping in view relative
merits, will decide award of scholarships to four
applicants from each ‘Gujarat Category’
and ‘Outside Gujarat Category’. |
(d) |
These students shall be refunded, as early as
possible, the full amount of the Tuition Fee paid
by them at the time of first admission. At each
subsequent semester they are exempted from paying
the Tuition Fee; however, they shall pay Registration
Fee, Deposits and Other Charges as prescribed. |
(e) |
These scholarships will be continued for the entire
B.Tech. Programme of 4 years (8 Semesters) subject
to consistent good academic performance at each
semester examination, and exemplary discipline and
conduct including punctuality. |
(f) |
If it is found at a later date that the Financial
Information given by the Awardee while seeking Merit-cum
Means Scholarship was wrong, intentionally concealed
or understated, his award could be cancelled and
some penalty may be levied for giving wrong information. |

Freeships (6) |
(a) |
One Full Freeship amounts to the Tuition Fee.
6 Full Freeships/12 Half-freeships or combination
thereof not exceeding 6 Full Freeships shall be
awarded. |
(b) |
Students seeking Freeship shall apply, after admission,
in the Prescribed Form wherein authentic information
about the family income and other relevant information
shall be furnished. Scholarship Committee shall
interact with each applicant and then decide the
award of freeships before the end of the first semester. |
(c) |
Full or part of the Tuition Fee paid by the awardees
of freeship shall be refunded in full or part as
decided by the award given by the Scholarship Committee.
At each subsequent semester, the awardees shall
pay zero or half tuition fee depending upon the
freeship granted to them; however, they shall pay
Registration Fee, Deposits and Other Charges as
prescribed. |
(d) |
These scholarships will be continued for the entire
B.Tech. Programme of 4 years (8 Semesters) subject
to consistent good academic performance at each
semester examination, and exemplary discipline and
conduct including punctuality. |
(e) |
(5) If it is found at a later date that the Financial
Information given by the Awardee while seeking Freeship
was intentionally wrong, concealed or understated,
his award could be cancelled and some penalty may
be levied for giving wrong information. |
