Mr. Manoj Kumar is associated with IPEG as a Lecturer.
He will teach Thin film technology, Synthesis of materials
and Physics of photovoltaic cells. He will carry out
research in field of silicon solar cells and dye sensitized
solar cells (DSSC).
Mr. Manoj Kumar has submitted his PhD thesis (Physics)
in Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. His
PhD research project was on Structural, Dielectric and
Ferroelectric Properties of (Ba,Sr)(ZrxTi1-x) O3 Ceramics
and Thin Films which focused extensively on preparation
of barium titanate based perovskite powders, ceramics
and thin films of varying compositions adopting techniques
like by solid-state reaction, sol-gel method for powder
preparation and sol-gel spin coating. The FTIR, XRD,
SEM, Dielectric measurement, ferroelectric and piezoelectric
measurement techniques were employed to study the structural,
dielectrical and ferroelectric properties. As research
associate, he has worked on Development of Gas Sensor
Array for Electronic Nose based on Thick Films of Tin
Oxide Nano Powder.
Presently, his area of research is in the field of
photovoltaic cells. He will carry out research work
in silicon based thin film solar dye sensitized solar
cells (DSSC).
Specialization:
Oxide ceramics and thin films, A-Si Solar cells, DSSC
solar cells
Teaching Interest:
Thin film technology, Synthesis of materials and its characterization
Research Interest: Presently, his area of research is in the field of photovoltaic cells. He will carry out research work in silicon based thin film solar cells, Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) and dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC).
