Lalit K. Khurana has over 13 years of experience in both industry and academics, more than two years of which are in industry and subsequently 11 years in academics. His doctoral thesis is on 'Management Control Systems in Power Sector'. He has nine publications to his credit in journal and as chapters in books. He has also published articles in magazines and souvenir. He has participated in several national and international conferences and presented 15 research papers. He has once won the best paper award and also chaired technical sessions in some of the conferences. He has authored chapters on course materials for distance education programme of central university. He has been associated with UGC sponsored project on Infrastructure Management. He has participated in several management development programmes and teachers' training programmes. He is recognized as a certified teacher in strategy having successfully completed seven modules programme on Strategic Management conducted at different premier management institutes - IIMs, XLRI, MDI and IIFT. He is a member of several national and international professional bodies like SMFI, ISTD, AIMA, ISTE, SMS (USA). His research interests are in the fields of strategy implementation, management control systems and financing infrastructure projects. He is also working on a book on power distribution utility expected to be published in 2011. He is invited as guest faculty for conducting training sessions in industry and other business schools. Currently, he teaches courses in Corporate Finance and Financing Energy Projects.
