Dr. Abhay sharma, after completing PhD at IIT Roorkee joined School of Petroleum Technology in August 2007 as Assistant Professor. He has been awarded prestigious National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF) for the period 2004-2007. Before his PhD, he worked with TVS Motors as Member-Production Engineering that he joined after his MTech at IIT Roorkee. He has been active in various extra-curricular activities and won First prize at National Level Debate Competition. He has research interests in modelling and computational intelligence in manufacturing, drilling engineering, welding engineering and nano-composites. His work has been published in various International and National journals and Conferences. He also reviews articles for some of the international journals. Currently he teaches Fabrication Technology and Thermodynamics of Reservoir Fluids. After joining SPTG, Dr. Sharma has developed interest in various aspects of petroleum engineering and particularly in Drilling Engineering. He is secretary faculty board and also looks after sports activities of the SPT.
