Centre for Energy Studies & Research (CESR),
an initiative of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University,
has been established with the aim of defining and promoting
a roadmap to energy security and sustainability for
India for the coming decades. CESR has been established
in close association with the Centre for Fuel Studies
& Research (CFSR), a think tank established in Vadodara
in 2003. Specifically, the activities of CESR will focus
on (i) distributed gas-based power generation, (ii)
clean coal technology, and (iii) use of renewable energy
sources in remote areas.
